This level is intended for newly qualified practitioners and will cover the legislative basis for creating and keeping records including FOI, Data Protection and Human rights. It will focus throughout on how to preserve the voice of the child in recording. It will look at evidence based recording in a number of different formats including case notes, taking notes from telephone calls and recording assessments , plans, reviews and meeting minutes. It will include using ICS as a day to day recording tool. The course is intended to support new practitioners to gain skills needed for day to day case work recording.

In addition please bring a piece of your own recording work to the workshop. It will not be shared during the workshop but will be collected at the end, along with the workshop audit tool, at the end of the session.
